Strange annoying microwave features

Still exploring convection oven but as a microwave I only selected this because it was the only one that would fit my wall cutout from my prior GE Profile MW. Things I don't like: 1. No clock that stays lit 2. Can only cook in 15 second intervals 3. Have to turn a knob then hit enter a minimum of 3 times EVERY time you cook something! Microwaves are meant for fast east cooking so this is ridiculous. 4. Very noisy when cooking. Makes a uncomfortable grinding type hum. 5. Blows air out the bottom right at you. Odd. Whoever designed this microwave doesn't actually cook much with a microwave I am sure. It is very expensive to be so awkward and annoying.

Great features, easy to use, intuitive controls, microwave, convection, speed cooking all in one handsome product. What else could you ask for? It's cooking heaven in these busy times! It's energy efficient too, compared to heating up an oven. It looks so nice in our custom solid cherry cabinets too!

I took a really fat face when I purchased this oven it was about $700 more that upgraded profile Standard wall oven but I like how it's a little bit narrower and on both sides and takes up a lot less space I don't have to have a microwave on the counter taking up my limited counter space anymore and it's really Bruce at all I've made a whole chicken a few times a beef roast and a pork roast and it brings the cooking time down to approximately 12 minutes a pound instead of 45 to 50 minutes a pound and there's no warm up time you put it in on speed cook turn the dial & bam ! 45/50 minutes later you take it out & whatever you cooked seems like it was in a conventional oven for approximately 3 hours slightly crispy on the outside for chicken cooked through but not dried out really good ! It's got a lot of Technology but as far as operating it it's it's really easy I'm not good with technology so I was leery ,but it's all based off of one rotary-dial and alphabetical groupings of of food and you know you know it's not a lot of programming involve you just can't turn the dial to push the dial in when you find what you want I'm really liking it I'm glad I chose it over the conventional oven, the only reason I didn't give it five-star hundred percent rating as is because of it's slightly smaller narrower width and height there's not a lot of cabinet manufacturers that that make the tall cabinet for built-in ovens with that opening so I had to get a custom Cabinet made for the tall cabinet in my kitchen remodel but as it turns out that custom Cabinet cost about the same as one of the other tall cabinets so it's not really a price difference but you have to have one made generally.

Advantium oven replacement

We replaced our previous Advantium oven because thE main computer board died and it wasn't worth the expense to replace it in a 14 year-old unit. We purchased a new one and it was a simple slide-in/slide-out installation. The new oven is noticeably quieter than the previous unit, which was a bonus. The only down side to the whole process was the extreme delay in delivery due to supply chain issues. The new oven is functioning perfectly and we are happy to have our kitchen fully back to operation after several months w/o a microwave.

I purchased this GE product to replace my old GE micro/convection oven. This was the ONLY under counter one that fit in the already established hole in my cabinet so my choice was very limited. It took several readings of the instructions to get used to when to use the non-stick tray for convection cooking. The instructions do not tell you to take out the glass turntable first so I had to Youtube it to figure it out. It cooks well. I have not yet used it for baking breads/muffins so I don't yet know if it will brown food the way it advertises. I also do not like they recommend using no papers products of any kind in there. I can assure you, my husband will not remember that!!! I think the product is overall very good, and would certainly recommend buying a micro/convection oven to anyone, but hopefully they would have more choices. Lastly, it does not come with (or apparently have an option for) stainless side panels to fill out any gaps btw the sides of the oven and the cabinet space it's in. The dial feature is a little weird - it feels like there are too many steps to take to get it to do what you want. It drives my husband nuts that the clock cannot be seen unless you open the door to the oven.

Great microwave oven. Do not like the change in feature where clock no longer shows all the time and you have to place food into microwave right at time you want to door it. You can not do in advance without opening the door again. Poor changes. Prefer the way the previous model worked.

We had a previous unit and, after 10 years, when the internal chips failed and could not be replaced successfully, we bought a new unit. Since we already have a microwave, we use this unit strictly for baking and heating things up. One of the key features is that it heats up much faster than the GE oven we have and also cools off faster. This allows us to be baking at two different temperatures and times. One thing we miss is the constant clock display we had with the previous unit. This one only shows the time when you open the door-and then for just a few moments. We also were hoping this unit would fit exactly into the same space as the previous GE unit. Instead, although, at the store, the measurements we were given said that we could install this unit exactly as the previous unit in regard to width(height was actually the same), when the unit arrived and we went to install it, there was a little over an inch of space showing in the width. the good news is that the previous unit had side panels in black which were removable and the technician was able install them on each side of the unit to cover up the gaps. Since the previous unit was black and this unit is stainless steel, the black side panels go well with the unit and, to the untrained eye, they look great.

We received the oven at the end of February. It only worked for a month. We can't get National Platinum Service to fix the oven. We can't even get in contact with them. I want a new oven or my money back. It was ordered through Lowe's.

The oven took 3 months to receive and then it was missing key installation parts. I call service and they told me the parts would ship in 5 to 7 days. Here we are 6 weeks later and still no parts. I wouldn't commit to buying anything until the inventory levels are back for these appliance companies. Major hassle!

I like the options and user friendly navigations through all the settings - and it's perfect for cooking things cheaply and easily depending on the food. (Instead of having to heat up a big oven especially in summer months when it's so hot)

I've only been using this for a few weeks but this thing is awesome. There are a ton of features I need to try but the microwave works really well and I've used both the convection oven to toast rolls, and the speed cook feature to bake some croissants. They turned out great and I didn't have to preheat or use the big oven. I can't wait to try to bake more things. I really love that this is a microwave and an oven. A little on the expensive side compared to microwaves but so far I'm happy with the money I've spent. And it looks great in my island.
My 1 complaint is an esthetic complaint. I ordered this product from a big box store and their online photos match this site but the oven I received had a rounded handle instead of the more square handle that would have matched my other GE appliances. I'm tempted to get new handles since this is a brand new kitchen and I really wanted things to match.

Pro's it fit opening perfectly and stared right up. Haven't explored all the new a different features yet. It is different, the LED clock turns off to conserve energy and the design doesn't match the convection oven. Use matches the original. We're happy.

Received new Advantium Wall Oven. Installed unit plugged it in and got an F3 - shorted key panel code. So we waited over 6 weeks to receive this new unit and it doesn't even work. How can GE send out products that don't even work? Don't they check them before sending them out? Crap in a box. Very unhappy.

I purchased this Micro Oven because my significant other wanted a second oven. Our kitchen is not large and did not have the room so after looking around, I came up with this solution.
Not only can you microwave in this but you can cook things as well. We have made a small turkey and ham using the features available and the food came out great. The microwave feature helps speed the cook time, the halogen lights sear the skin. Probably had some of the best turkey and ham we had in a long time. More experiments with food to come but so far this has been a great Micro Oven.

We use this all the time. great for a couple or small family. More efficient to use the smaller convection oven for baking casseroles or loaf fruit breads than to heat the large oven.

Our former GE Profile Wall Oven model very similar to this newer model died after 9 years of heavy use daily due to a control board circuit issue. I thought it would be better to get the new oven instead of having the old oven being repaired.
Now we are happy with the new oven.
